TREE TRIMMING.
The Lime trees on Roe Green need attention. The growth on the lower trunk is getting excessive and along Greenleach Lane the growth is restricting visibility along the road for cars turning onto Greenleach Lane from Old Clough Lane and Roe Green road so this is a Road Safety factor. Also if the trunks are not trimmed yearly eventualy the growth would make a hedge around the green.
The council has been approached to carry out this task but we are informed they do not have the resources to help and we are told we can do the triming ourselfs and they will remove the cuttings.
Therefore The Friends of Roe Green are joining in with Worsley Village Assoc to carry out this work.
So please we need plent of volunteers.to meet
SATURDAY 17th AUGUST AT 10.30A.M. OUTSIDE THE METHODIST CHURCH. Please bring protective gloves, shears or cutters, the branches are quite thick and plastic rakes to gather the debris.
Hope you can help. Many thanks. The Friends of Roe Green.
